My Mom IS Miss Rumphius
My mother is called the Garden Lady where she lives. She has traveled and her grandfather carved many things including a 6'x9' ship modeled on The Success. She has 8 children including a son Nicholas. She teaches the children that walk by her yard about the flowers and other important things about life. She uses old coffee bags to put bouquets in. She has an eye for beauty and passing that along. Her gardens are spectacular in a cottage way and she has planted in the walkways around the street. Her grandchildren, after hearing this book read to them yelled, "that's just like Grandma"! What a compliment. A charming, heartwarming story. Like Johnny
